Molotow Markers!

I'd like to introduce you to Roary, my new monster. My wonderful boyfriend got him for me for Christmas, he didn't really have much of a choice though, I've been unsubtly hinting to him for months that I NEED a Love & a Sandwich monster.

Roary is currently sat on my desk in my Pony Chops office. I've given him the job of protecting my Molotow Markers (which I also got for Christmas).

I first heard of Molotow Markers a few months ago, and have been dying to get my hands on some since then. The ink they use is a hybrid, acrylic based paint which is very highly pigmented (they actually draw straight onto black objects and show up really well!!). They are very popular amongst graffiti artists.

Due to the acrylic based ink, they're perfect for painting/drawing on almost anything. So far I've used them on plastic, wood, leather and on top of other acrylic paints, and have been incredibly impressed with the results. I wouldn't recommend them for fabric and canvas shoes though, as although the ink is high pigmented, it is quite runny so I could see it bleeding on fabric.

Having in the past bought paint pens and markers which would clog and dry up within a few minutes of use, I was initially a bit dubious about how well the ink would flow through the nib.
However, I have had no problems with the flow of these pens, they're really fluid to use, just like a good quality felt tip.

They have a selection of nib sizes, mine are a 2mm nib. Although you can buy 1mm changeable nibs for them too. They are also refillable. I haven't needed to refill mine yet but I've heard they're pretty easy to refill.

In conclusion, I absolutely love these pens!! I can see so many uses for them, and I fully intend to invest in the complete kit as soon as possible.

X box Hi Tops

I painted this pair for my boyfriend for Christmas. He loves his x box (probably a little bit too much) so I based the little monsters on x box controllers.
Also, he likes steak (who dosn't?) so, I painted lots of little steaks for the monsters to nom, we can't have them getting hungry or they'll start biting on his toes!

Custom Caps

I'm now expanding my services to painting custom caps too :D
I'll be putting some up on the etsy shop soon, in the meantime, you're welcome to contact me via etsy or email me at ponychopsshop@gmail.com if you're interested in a custom order.

This is a recent cap I've been working on, it's for a friend of mine who loves his SLR camera, so obviously, I had to paint an SLR monster nomming fudgesicles in a pool of it's own rainbow juices. nom nom nom.

My Christmas Tree

I put my Christmas tree up last week and thought I'd share some pictures with you all. I'm having a little Christmas gathering at mine tomorrow night so am busy baking cakes and putting up more decorations today!!

I'm a little bit obsessed with glittery, bright, tacky and insane Christmas decorations and I try and buy new additions every year. I've been good so far this year, although I think I might have to cave in and buy some poodle decorations from Paperchase.

I came across this street art on i-am-bored. I don't know where it's originally from but I like it lots.

PONPONPON

I'm extremely addicted to these videos for the singer Kyary Pamyu Pamyu, produced by Yasutaka Nakata of the band Capsule. Both videos are a visual treat, full of illuminati and masonic imagery, but really cute and colourful too, oh, and insane.

The second video is all about eyelashes apparently, I love the bit where she has fake eyelashes on her tits, I hope that becomes fashionable in England too.

Yummy Cupcakes

Today I did some modelling for the very talented, and rather handsome photographer Kyle Chapman. The photo shoot was in a very interesting tattoo studio, it was lots of fun. I'll post the pictures when he's edited out my bingo wings ;)

As a thank you he gave me these scrummy cupcakes from Sugar Hit Cupcakes, they're absolutely delicious, I'm trying to save some for our PonyChops business meeting tomorrow but I doubt they will last that long!

I've been considering deleting Love & a Sandwich from my facebook, because the temptation is getting too much, I NEED one of their fantastic little monsters. I have hinted lots to my boyfriend, so I better be getting one of these monstrous creations for Christmas or my birthday!!

These little cuties just melt my heart.

We all need to get a little UPTIGHT

My legging and tight obsession certainly hasn't been helped by the discovery of the shop UpTights. They have so many wonderful colours and patterns! I couldn't choose just 1 pair!! They are really reasonably priced too

What's even more exciting is they are having and Holiday SALE at the moment (which ends 17th November so get buying before it ends)! All you have to do is enter the code HOLIDAYSPECIAL when you purchase their item and you get 20% off.

Tabitha Bianca Brown

I was browsing though some etsy treasuries today and came across this adorable artwork. It's by the illustrator Tabitha Bianca Brown. Check out her etsy shop and her blog.

I think what I love most about her work is the combination of the modern geometric shapes and colours with the wooden textures she uses.

I would be so so happy if I could get a t-shirt with one of her designs on!!
